Lapu-Lapu is an urbanized city situated in the Cebu province in Philippines. The city is 1km from the mainland of Cebu Island and covers the whole of Olango Island as well as most of the Mactan Island along with a few other islets. The city is connected to the city of Mandaue via the Marcelo Fernan Bridge and the Mactan-Mandaue Bridge. The city can be accessed via the Mactan Cebu International Airport, which is the 2nd busiest airport in the entire Philippines region. The city covers a total area of 64.22 sq kilometers and has a population of 292,530 as per the 2007 census. Tourism is fast developing in this city due to its excellent beaches and dive spots which houses a varied marine life and numerous corals. The topography is mostly flat with a number of rivers and creeks. The city gets an average rainfall of 1,638 mm and the temperature of the place varies from 65 degrees to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
