Manila is a city which greets you with a warm smile and offers a wonderful holiday experience, but that has a few things to be careful as well...
On the down side, in fact, there is a lot of poverty and therefore a high crime rate, so, each bank is guarded with at least two security guards.
To avoid any unpleasant experiences and to be aware of the warnings in Manila, here is some advice for your safety.
It is advisable to keep all personal belongings under your constant supervision.
Valuable jewellery and accessories should not be worn while visiting bars, especially in the evening. The best advice is to leave all valuables in the hotel room safe. The likelihood of an unpleasant event occurring is rare but it is advisable to take precautions.
Visitors should take care when walking around Intramuros, as there are no barriers in place around the golf course so flying golf balls can be a hazard. Special warning signs with “Beware of golf balls” are found in this area.

| you should try to visit palawan men the place is wonderful dont waste youre time in manila, go directly to puerto princesa city and go to duchess pension they have the cheapest rate on town imagine 175 only for a night and they have a very good accomodating in house guide which can tell your place of destination for frree! his name is albert. i was satisfied i gave him a 50 euro as a tip !! |

| very true... even if im a resident here just recently, I never walk alone without being aware of my surroundings because there might be someone following and has intentions of snagging me... Try Davao city for those whose going to visit the Philippines, you could never think this conscious when you're there... |

| It's true, always the taxi and others try to make the price higher for a white man even when I'm with my philippina wife.
Always insist on the meter in a taxt then you can happily give a willing and generous tip. |
