Tourist Guide Sorsogon
Sorsogon is a province of Philippines situated in the Bicol Region and is divided into 14 municipalities. Sorsogon City is its capital and the region covers a total area of 2,141.4 sq kilometers. Sorsogon is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean on the east, the province of Albay on the north, San Bernardino Strait on the south and the Burias and Ticao passes on the northwest and west. The region has an irregular topography and most of the towns here lie along the coast. Mt Bulusan is the tallest peak in this region and has an altitude of 1,560 meters above sea level. The entire Sorsogon region has a population of 650,535 inhabitants and most of the people belong to the Bisakol and Bicolano groups. The people here are religious and fun loving. A number of festivals and events are held in the region including the Kasangayahan festival, the Pili festival, festival of mogoloids and more.
