The largest museum in the city of Doha is the Qatar National Museum.
This museum exhibits the geological history of the nation; historical artefacts and objects belonging to the Islamic religion are collected in this museum, offering the possibilities to learn about the royal history of Qatar.
The museum remains open every day throughout the week, the central courtyard surrounds the museum buildings: it houses several rooms dedicated to various subjects.
The royal rooms of Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani have been reconstructed: the royal atmosphere of the rooms has been well restored by the museum authorities.
