While traveling to Doha see that you carry durable baggages as the rough handling at the airport tend to break or burst the baggage if it is flimsy.
While packing clothes, do remember that Doha is a hot city and summer can be unbearable hence carry light weight summer clothes and shorts, pants or short sleeved shirts in the day.
In case of toiletries everything is available in the city from shampoos, soaps and paste to suntan lotions and more. However, if one is more comfortable carrying these things from home then do so in small separate non leak pouches.
A camera is a must for capturing all those important moments however try not to carry expensive gadgets as regular sand storms especially at the end of winter tend to spoil or break the gadgets.
Do not forget to a list of all your important documents such as airline tickets, passport and insurance if any.
