Tabuk is the capital city of Tabuk province to the north western part of Saudi Arabia.
The region of Tabuk is stretched from north to Halat Ammar and Bir Bin Hammas; south to Omluj; east to Taima and Markazand west to Red Sea. This military town is also the gateway for the kingdom which is close to the Jordanian Border.
This city has some historical significance that can be seen in the historical landmarks, still present in Tabuk. Some of the historical monuments belong to period of Prophet Mohamed. Earlier Tabuk was also one of the major stops on Hejas Railway which is now located in the region of Lawrence of Arabia fame.
Tabuk has develop at a very fast pace and today has become one of the commercialized cities with super markets, dairy and poultry farms and definitely with a wide variety of wining and dining facilities. The climate of this place is hot in summers and mild during winters.
The population of this place comes to 441,351 according to 2004 census.
