Long Bar - Bars in Singapore

Long Bar is situated in the world famous Raffles Hotel on Beach Road in Singapore.

This hotel was the place where the legendary Singapore Sling cocktail was invented and the club has a classy and colonial club feel to it with waiters wearing old fashioned Singapore clothes and fans on the top of the roof.

The bar has two floors with a winding staircase leading to the top floor. The expected dress code at the bar would be smart casuals. The bar is popular and the drinks are expensive.

The happy hour at the bar is from six to nine in the evening and one can enjoy munching on the peanuts and snacks while listening to live music.

After enjoying drinks at the bar one can visit the billiards room or the exhibition on the 3rd floor which explains the history of the Raffles Hotel and also sells souvenirs.

One can also stroll around the grounds which is more like a shopping arcade and provides a blissful escape from the afternoon heat.
