Singapore boasts of a well-maintained and highly developed road and highway network. While driving, which is done on the left-hand side of the road, drivers should be aware of motorcyclists who often overlook traffic rules and lane markings. Taxis and public transportation are inexpensive and profusely available. So getting around in Singapore is easy and economical. Besides taxis and buses the public transportation network also offers the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) rail system.
