Tourist Guide Incheon

Incheon Metropolitan City is a major seaport on the west coast of South Korea near Seoul.  Incheon is now home to almost 2.5 million people, and is also under the control of one of the two Free Economic Zone Authorities of Korea. With an aim to attract foreign investment, the city turned itself into a financial and corporate center joining the Busan -Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority. The city boundaries include an area of 964.53 km2, of which 21 percent comprises of rice paddies and another 44 percent is forested. This city falls under the Korean Standard Time (UTC+9). Sometimes, Incheon is treated as a portion of the greater Seoul metropolitan area because of its nearness to the capital and for the reason that the Seoul Metropolitan Subway is linked to the Subway system of Incheon.  Incheon International Airport is an important international airport for Seoul and South Korea situates within the city limits of Incheon.
