Changdeokgung or the Changdeokgung Palace is a historic building set within the large park in Jongno-gu in Seoul. Known as one of the Five Grand Palaces, built by the Joseon Dynasty kings, the meaning of this palace is Palace of Prospering Virtue.
This monument was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997 for its outstanding example of Far Eastern palace architectural designed building and garden.
This 15th century palace complex is worth visiting as it merges with its natural surroundings.
