The Leeum Samsung Museum is a spectacular structure situated in the heart of Itaewon and is an elite museum which resembles a hotel rather than a museum.
The museum is decorated with terra cotta tiles and has two museums displaying different art work.
Museum number one includes porcelain and celadon pottery, historic bronze sculptures, Buddhists paintings, jewellery and more.
There is a white circular staircase which leads to an area with a glass roof and rectangular shaped windows which let in natural sunlight.
Museum number two depicts foreign as well as domestic modern art and the most popular works are situated on level B1.
Here there are forty five golden Marilyns, a huge display of pills signifying the danger of drugs and a suit of armour made with military dog tags symbolizing the spirit of unity which built South Korea.
Seventy other collections of art are found in this wing.
