Tourist Guide Moratuwa
Moratuwa is a city and is located on the southwestern coast of Sri Lanka near Dehiwala Mount Laviana. It is situated on the Galle Colombo highway.
The city is surrounded by water on three sides. The city was named after Muru Atuwa that means Sentry Turret in Sinhalese. The people of this place feel proud that Veera Puran Appu who rose against the British was born in this place.
The city is rich in cultural heritage that can be reflected from the various cultural centers present I the city. Also there are many historical sites that are present in this city. Travelers come here across the globe to spend a leisure vacation in this lush greenery area. Also one can find local cuisines in this place that is quite sumptuous.
