Point Pedro is located to the northernmost town of the island of Sri Lanka.
There is a small harbor known as Point Pedro Harbor and at present is controlled by the Sri Lankan army but the public is allowed to wit regulation to perform their regular activities.
The place has a wonderful landscape and is surrounded by beaches that make it one of the favorite tourist destinations. Travelers who want to spend a leisure vacation Point Pedro is the ideal place for them. Also there are some historical sites that are worth visiting. People over here are quite generous and welcome everybody with a warm hospitality.
The town was under the captivation of LTTE but as rescued by the Sri Lankan government. It also faced the harsh effects of Tsunami and the water of the beach rose to 4 feet.
The climate of this place is pleasant and can be visited at any time of the year
