The October War Panorama is a memorial of the Tishreen War (October War) of 1973 against Israel, and was built with the help of North Koreans. This interesting museum is quite extraordinary and gives us a tour using painting of different battles, a movie, a panoramic painting and a diorama showcasing all the different stages of the war, the battle over the Golan Heights and the fighting in and around Quneitra.
On display there are also a number of captured Israeli tanks, vehicles and fighter planes and there is a room especially dedicated to former presidente Hafez al-Assad. The Panorama is located on the road to the Harasta bus terminal, about 2 km northeast of the centre and can be reached via minibus.
