The natural beauty of Taiwan needs a foremost mention. Known as the ‘Mountainous Island’, the country’s mountains along the coasts are a treat to the eyes. Jade Mountain, the highest mountain in Northeast Asia, is located in this country. It is a great place for relaxing the weary body and soul.

Other attractions include the traditional and modern architectural masterpieces as well as the numerous national parks and preserves. Kenting National Park, Yushan National Park, Alishan National Scenic Area etc. are worth a visit. Some of the parks are also good for adventure sports.

The National Palace Museum would be an excellent place for those who are fond of history, artefacts, ancient paintings, antiquities etc.

Shopping can turn out to be fun at the several local night markets where one can get hand on a variety of souvenirs, gifts, electronics etc. at very reasonable price.
