Tourist Guide Taichung
Taichung is a city in the central part of Taiwan. It is the third largest city in Taiwan with a population of about one million residents. Taichung means ‘Central Taiwan’ in Chinese. The city is a major commercial and cultural centre with numerous tourist spots as well.
The climate of Taichung is of the mild variety. Summers are warm and moderate, while winters are pleasant and cool. The city receives adequate rainfall which is distributed evenly. Typhoons are rare, but they do have a history in Taichung. Winters are the best time to travel to this city.
Taichung started out as a small village settlement and went through turbulent times. However, the city has developed into one of the major cities of Taiwan. Today, it has a diverse economy which consists of the traditional productions and factories, manufacturing and tourism.
