Night Markets in Taiwan are street markets operated in urban or suburban areas of Taiwan.  Most of the markets operate daily featuring the mixture of individual stalls of hawking consumer goods, clothing, bags, kitchen items, shoes, trinkets, Xiaochi and specialty drinks.

Night markets in Taiwan have become famous for their Xiaochi foods. The night markets consist of various small restaurants providing various traditional dishes such as oyster omelets, chicken shawarma and tasty tofu.  Several night markets are famous for selling particular type of food for example, Tainan has become known for its noodles, the shin night market for its popular store selling tasty fried chicken breast in large portions in a reasonable price, the Snake alley for selling sea food etc.

Many of the night markets have become popular tourists destinations.  In addition to food and shopping, one can find various forms of entertainment in night markets.
