Ximending is a shopping district and neighborhood in Wanhua District of Taipei, Taiwan. Ximending was the first pedestrian zone in Taiwan. This amazing place is a source of Taiwan’s fashion, subculture and Japanese culture. The well known Ximending Pedestrian Area was the first pedestrian area built in Taipei and is largest in Taiwan. Ximending is the most popular youth hangout area too attracting an average of over 3 million shoppers per month. One can find out numerous shops selling variety of products. The local bookstores sell Japanese magazines, CD albums, books and clothing. Right from famous large business buildings such as Wannien Department Stores, Shizilin Square, Estile 116 later at night and Wanguo Department Store to streets, individual vendors gather to sell variety of materials. Along with shopping one can also enjoy in the bars and pubs open late night.
