I find Tainan a fantastic place to live. It's vibrant and laid back with a tropical oceanic climate... even in the hottest months there is an almost-constant ocean breeze. In addition to the 5000+ temples, and abundant exceptional inexpensive food everywhere that Tainan is known for, there's rich everyday culture and interesting architecture everywhere. Nowadays there's international food easily available, with things like Willie's the British pub and Imma, the Israeli Bakery (REALLY not to miss!) just a short block east of the XiMen Mitsukoshi Dept. Store. There are over 100 renovated old houses ... in modern reincarnations as coffeeshops and tea shops and small hotels. Taipei is a very confortable and joyful morden metropolitan city, easy to go, easy to shop, easy to have a fun, people kind and friendly, safe and beautiful, free and convinent, nature and culture worthy visiting, living and learning chance a lot and anywhere, whatever like to do somebody help, where like to go somebody help. wonderful and marvellous.
