The Payoon and Pala Beaches are one of the most scenic sights of the city of Rayong. They are interconnected and offer excellent options like swimming, diving and other beach activities.
A picturesque nature reserve is the Khao Laem Ya-Koh Samet Group National Park, which consists of beaches and islands and is an excellent recreation option. Another scenic area is the Khao Chamao-Khao Wong National Park which abounds with green forests, waterfalls and caves.
Koh Samet is the most prominent attraction in Rayong. It consists of blooming trees, white beaches with crystal clear waters and a marine park. Visitors can enjoy their stay in economic bungalows and taste the excellent cuisine at some good restaurants.
Rayong also hosts a number of festivals. The Fruit Fair is a display of a variety of tropical fruits with musical and dance performances, exhibitions and parades. The Sunthom Phu Fair and the Red Cross Fair are other annual events.
