The city of Bangkok has a fair share of interesting sights. Make a trip to the Royal Grand Palace and the Royal Barges National Museum. Catch a show of traditional Thai puppetry at the Joe Louis Theatre. For a slice of old Bangkok, head to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Close to the city is the town of Kanchanaburi, the site of the Bridge over the River Kwai.

Thailand has plenty on offer for history buffs. Explore the towns of Ayutthaya, Sukothai, Buriram, Chiang Saen, and Prasat Muang Singh and soak in the glory of the days gone by.

Head out to the coast for some sun and surf. Thailand has a spectacular coastline and a host of beach resorts and islands like Pattya, Cha’am, Hua Hin, Ko Chang, Ko Samet, Ko Samui, Ko Pha Ngan and Phuket to choose from.
