If you plan to roam around Ayutthaya, admiring its architectural wonders, be sure to protect yourself from the extreme heat! The weather is hot and dry.
Make sure to pack all the necessary things like sun-screen, hats, goggles, umbrellas, sandals and wet-tissues. Sleeveless t-shirts and cotton handkerchiefs are also recommended.
Although the local shops and stalls sell mineral water bottles, you won’t get them exactly cheap. It helps to carry some water bottles with you. It is no fun carrying stuff when you are sweating. Carrying a map of your surrounding always proves useful.
Be sure to visit various night markets scattered throughout the city. They provide great shopping opportunities. Talad is perfect for buying souvenirs.
