The Oriental hotel is one of the most classy and beautiful hotels of Bangkok and the bar residing within aptly carried forward the tradition. It is world-famous for the live-jazz performances since 1946 and sports a film-noir like ambience.
The skilled bartender at the counter expertly prepares a range of drinks from Martini to Mai-Tai. Some consider these Martinis to be the best in Asia.
The bar gets its name from the jungle-type décor, with plush chairs and leather sofas interspersed within palm and bamboo fronds.
It offers a soothing and relaxing experience is an old-fashioned classic atmosphere, while listening to awesome jazz music.
They also serve deep-fried peas to chew upon, which are famous in the city. The service is excellent and there is a smoking area which offers Cuban cigars.
