Suan Lum Night Bazaar is situated in Pathum Wan district of Bangkok, across the Lumphini Park. Crown Property Bureau is the owner of the land-property, the lease of which ended on 2006.
The Night Bazaar operates from 3 PM to Midnight, although some shops do remain open even after that. Vendors sell an assortment of goods like, clothing, gifts, fruits, vegetables, jewelry, electronic products, hand made products, fine arts like sculptures and paintings.
The bazaar also houses a wide ‘beer garden’, which serves multi-cuisine food and offers live-entertainment. Away from the hustle and bustle of the market, there is a quieter area comprising of several restaurants that provide garden seating, both inside and outside.
Prime complexes inside the bazaar include Bangkok Hall, which is a 6000 capacity special event and entertainment facility. It is mainly used for various media companies for stage concerts.
Joe Louis Puppet Theater is a traditional puppet theater which specializes in performing Ramakien, which is the national epic of Thailand.
