Considered as the world’s largest golden teak structure, the Vimanmek Mansion was initially built in the year 1868 on Koh Si Chang Island. In 1910, it was shifted to Bangkok and became the residence of the King Chulalongkorn for five years when Grand Palace was getting renovated. Its grounds are large covering nineteen other buildings, many of them having small museums.
