Chinatown of Bangkok is situated on Yaowarat Road in the Samphanthawong district. It is an old business-center covering a large area in and around of Yaowarat and Charoen Krung Road.

All types of goods are sold here by numerous vendors who are located in small streets and alleyways. Chinatown has become a main trading center for the Chinese community since their migration from the old site around two-hundred years ago.

Chinatown becomes a vibrant street-wide food joint at night. Different varieties of delicious food are sold across all the shops. The 15th anniversary of the road was celebrated in the year 2007.

Garments, stationary, textiles, second-hand equipments and parts, souvenirs, gold shops, computer parts and accessories, electric goods, imported musical instruments, antiques and much more can be obtained at a bargain price, sometimes even at wholesale price.

The land prices around this region are some of the most highest in all of Bangkok.
