The Night Bazaar of Chiang Mai is situated in the central part of the city on Chang Klan Road, which is between Si Donchai Road and Pae Road.
It is known locally as “Kad Luang” and certainly has become a biggest draw for both local and foreign customers.
As with the many night markets of Thailand, the bazaar specializes in selling outstanding variety of goods.
Local artifacts and crafts, jewelry, silk, fake Rolex watches, electronic gadgets such as CDs, DVDs and players are all on offer here. Since the bazaar is close to companies and manufacturing plants, the price is understandably cheap.
The market also offers amongst the best street-food one can taste in the city. Many travel agents, camera shops and internet cafes too are located catering to foreign tourists.
One major attraction of the market is the portrait-painting from photos. You can also have a custom made portrait wearing a Thai costume!
