The best time to visit Thailand is during the celebration of Songkran, which is the Thai New Year festival. Wat Doi Suthep is a must-visit place if you want to experience the splendor of Chang Mai from the mountain top.
Elephants are revered throughout Thailand and you can have fond moments with this regal animal in some of the Elephant Parks of the city. A rented motor-scooter proves very beneficial if you want to take a stroll in the city, but local options like Tuk-Tuks and songthaews should also be experienced.
Be careful in deciding a trek route and trek guide and opt for well-known places rather than adventuring into total unknown ones. If you want to trek into jungles, make sure to pack all the appropriate things, including mosquito-repellent crème!
Night bazaars are excellent places to purchase local goods and delicious food items. Some animal shows like Monkey show and Snake show can be found in the city.
