Chaweng Beach situated on the east coast of Koh Samui is a place which attracts many tourists both young as well as old. This 7 km long beach with powdery white sand is enclosed by emerald blue waters and a coral reef.
There are 2 islands close to the reef and one of them can be visited on foot through the shallow waters. The other island is ideal for watersport activities like kayaking and snorkeling.
The central area of the beach offers an array of facilities for travelers such as shops selling local crafts, food, beverages, Thai food, traditional Thai souvenirs as well as Thai massage salas found all over the beach.
The clean and fresh beaches are mostly accessible through the various hotels located near the beaches. These include the Central Samui Beach Resort, Samui Bayview Villa & Resort, Muang Kulaypan Hotel and Amari Palm Reef Resort.
