In Thailand, tourists will find numerous places which are surrounded by myths and legends. Almost all the sites in Thailand, which are important from the architectural and archeological point of view, are presented in attractive manner.
This list also includes Hin Yai/ Hin Ta rocks. These amazingly shaped rocks are known as Grandmother and Grandfather Rocks amongst the tourists. The rocks, which draw hundreds of visitors every year, are located on the Lamai Beach in Koh Samui.
The rocks possess striking resemblance with the human genitals. The local residents tell a story of an elderly couple, who ended their life on this coast. The rocks emerged after their death in the symbol of their memory.
The grandmother and grandfather in the story loved each other a lot. They got caught in a storm and finally embraced death. Apart from these legends and the mesmerizing shape of the rocks, visitors are attracted towards the tranquil beauty of the surrounding as well.
