The Angthong National Marine Park is a group of around sixty islands or more found in the north west of Ko Samui.
All the islands have a distinct characteristic and are found in close proximity from each other. There are beach forests, dry evergreen forests and limestone forests found in this park.
The caves of the islands have amazing rock formations. The beaches here are surrounded with coral reefs and are great for snorkeling and swimming. Ko Sam Sao is one such island known for its coral reefs.
The Wua Talap Island is also known as sleeping cow island and is atop a steep hill which provides excellent views of the mainland and the surrounding islands.
The headquarters of the Park is at Ko Wua Talab and one can find bungalow accommodation here.
Some of the best hikes in Thailand can be availed at in this park with fascinating views of the surrounding regions.
