The Krabi International Airport is situated on the main-highway (Route 4), around nine kms from the town center of Krabi.
Many restaurants and hotels provide easy transport options to the airport. There is only one centrally located building for the Airport.
The ground floor is used for arrivals while first floor is used for departures. The arrival hall also has a booth for tourist information.
The airport has basic facility buildings. These include a few souvenir booths for shopping, a small coffee shop, a Thai restaurant, a money exchange booth and a couple of ATM machines.
Public transport or unauthorized taxis are not allowed in the airport premises, but the airport provides fixed-rate car rentals and bus services.
A number of International and Domestic Airlines halt at Krabi Airport. Prominent amongst these are, AirAsia, Tiger Airways, Bangkok Airways, Thai Airways International.
