Ao Nang is situated just a couple of minutes away from Krabi town and can be reached within seconds from the nearby beaches.
What was merely a small fishing community some years ago, has evolved into a major tourist attraction containing international resorts. It acts as a central tourist center as a number of beaches and attractions can be reached from Ao Nang; although the town itself can be termed as a stand-alone tourist destination.
A range of accommodation options are available starting from basic bungalows to smart guesthouses and resorts.
Many low-rise hotels featuring a Thai-style of architecture are found here and provide the perfect value-for-money. Nearby beaches like Railay Beach and Koh Pai offer magnificent beach views and water-sport activities.
Multi-cuisine hotels and budget restaurants can be found on the streets and the town also has a respectable nightlife scene.
Many souvenir shops and convenience stores are lined up neat the beaches and provide a great shopping experience.
