Kamala Beach lies at the North side of Patong Beach. With its fishing village and fully enclosed bay surrounded by forested-hills, it is amongst the most beautiful and inviting places in Phuket.
Kamala beach is preferred by individuals and families who want to experience calmer and less-noisy atmosphere away from usually packed Patong Beach. It has been a constant favorite spot for retirees and other long-term visits who reside in nearby small hotels and villas and thus has made a niche for itself.
On the South side of the beach, there are a number of hotels that provide excellent accommodation options and great views of the Kamala Beach. Although these resorts are not as luxurious as on other beaches, they do provide magnificent vistas of sunset and untouched tropical beaches with their close-to-beach rooms.
