The Kata Beach of Phuket is only a short distance south from Karon Beach. It is famous for it clean and enticing water and soft white sands. Plenty of attractive fish and other marine life can often be seen in the waters.
It is a popular destination with families offering serene beaches with palm lines, nice and varied restaurants and a lively nightlife. It becomes a surfer’s paradise from May to October and people interesting in sun-tanning flock the beach from November to April. Most of the resorts lie at the south end of Kata beach.
Some of them are true-to-name beachfront hotels, with no road in between. Various accommodation options are available in these resorts. The beach itself is always alive with tons of activities like water-sports, beach cafes, Sandbeds and much more.
This beach is less crowded than Patong Beach and thus offers a relaxed and relatively quieter atmosphere to enjoy.
