Tourists must carry thin and light cotton clothes, short sleeve clothes with at least one set of long pants.
It is also best to carry mosquito repellent and bring some medication. Light raingear, sunglasses, heavy-duty sunscreen and a compass are important.
The Lonely Planet Thailand guide is important, as the guide contains information about restaurants, hotels as well as other advice. It is recommended to carry a passport and copies of your driving license and other necessary documents.
Hiking shoes, camera, toiletries, insect spray, sunscreen, a laptop and study backpack prove to be useful as well.
Tourists should remember to carry phone numbers and an address book containing important contact details that may be necessary in case of emergency.
Credit cards, bank cards or travellers cheques are also useful. A money belt, to carry cash during outings, is also a good idea.
