Lhasa is the capital of Tibet Autonomous Region and the centre of Tibet's political, economic, cultural and religious activities since 1.300 years ago!
Its name-- "Lhasa"--means "the land of gods" in Tibetan and, with more than 3,000 hours of sunshine annually, it is also known as " the City of Sunshine".
Lhasa has many Buddhist monuments and was the seat of the Dalai Lama.
