Abu Dhabi International Airport is situated 32 km east of Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates.
The airport has three terminals and a separate check-in terminal, called the City Terminal.
The third terminal is going through a major expansion and is expected to open in 2009 which will increase the total capacity of the airport to 20 million by 2010.
It is an important hub for Etihad Airways.
Tourists can reach the airport through public transport at a fixed-rate.
There is an information and customer service desk in the main landside concourse near the shopping area where passengers can conveniently inquire about the flights before check-in.
Besides this the airport also has ATM’s, exchange bureaux, snack bars, duty free shopping opportunities, VIP lounges and separate smoking zones.
Special check-in gates provides easy access for disabled travellers with special car park, lifts and toilets.
