Abu Dhabi: Parks and Gardens

Liwa Oasis is known as one of the major tourist attractions in Abu Dhabi city. The oasis is two hours of drive from the city and it is one of the largest oases in Arabia. This place is a gateway to Rub Al Khali and makes a refreshing change with freshwater pools and even date plantations. It is home to the Bedu people which are known for their hospitality. It is said that traditionally, men from Liwa were pearl divers on the coast during the summer months as pearl diving offered a source of income.
