Size does not matter for Ajman when it comes to providing tourist attractions. The bordering parts of the city are being developed as New Ajman. One of the most talked about projects is ‘The Emirates City’ which was built from nothing but now has more than a hundred buildings, a vast number of shopping malls and the best of hotels. There is also the ‘Al Zoura’ area where beachside developments are planned. One of the tourist attractions here is the ‘Dhow Yard’, which is the biggest Dhow (traditional Arabic vessels) building center in the entire world. It is a pleasure to see the artisans at work here. Mowaihat is another attraction of Ajman where there are tombs present of the people who over the years have helped the city to be what it is today. Here the ancient tools, toys and utensils can be seen. The Ajman museum is another place to find items of archeological interest. This museum also houses the age old treasures of the previous kings and their empires.
