There are the tolling stations which are fully automated and one can collect toll of AED 4 per transit, which is around 1.08 dollars. The Metro system will be operational by 2009 and fully operational by 2012. The main mode of transportation in Dubai is by private vehicle and there is also an extensive taxi system in Dubai. This city has a large bus system which services 69 routes and transported over 90 million people in 2006.
