Tourist Guide Ras al Khaimah:

Ras al Khaimah is the capital of the emirate and lies on the northern part of the Gulf of Persia. It is divided by a water gill called Khour Ras al Khaimah and has 2 sections namely the Old Ras al Khaimah and Nakheel on either sides of the creek. The city covers a total area of 656 sq miles and has a population of 246,167 inhabitants as per the census of 2009. The city is nicknamed as ‘Wild West’ of the UAE due it’s adventurous and spell bounding scenery and beauty. The city has a hot and humid climate in the summer and winters are relatively cooler and less humid. Al Hamraniah is an important district in this region which is an agricultural land as well as includes the international airport of Ras al Khaimah. The Khaat area is another attractive tourist spot with a resort which is known for its thermal springs with medicinal qualities. The Masafi district nearby is known for its natural portable water and orchards.

Ras Al Khaimah is a smaller city of the Emirates but has natural beauty. It is a treasure mine for old ruins and look out towers for people who love to explore. There is a road that cuts into and up the mountain in RAK which is a fun way to spend an afternoon but on cooler days. (be sure to pack a lunch) The new corniche is a nice place to spend with family by the water. Many hotels and plenty of beaches but the beaches are not kept up after tourists. There are 3 malls now so pretty good for shopping though most of the locals still shop in the old souk.

A dashing place, the site are marvelous and there is almost everything you need nearby. I have enjoy very much that i will of course recommend my friends or relatives to visit.

I was in RAK during 3 years and this Emirates is very very very far away from Dubai on all points, business, lodging, road,... prices are crazy.

THE LOW FARE TRANSPORT SERVICES LIKE BUSES HAS TO PROVIDE FROM ALL CORNERS AND FREQUENT TIMINGS. KINDLY PARDON MY ENGLISH AND SUGGESTIONS
