The best time to visit is during the cooler months between November and April. During this period, the days are bright and the nights are cool. May to September is incredibly hot, making travelling uncomfortable without air conditioning.
Events and Entertainment
The UAE celebrates National Day on the 2 December. This is a public holiday and much revelry takes place. The month of Ramadan is observed by fasting during the day and feasts at sundown. Many restaurants close down during the day. Alcohol and smoking is not allowed during the month. The holy month ends with Eid celebration, a festive atmosphere with great food on offer.
