Uzbekistan’s major source of export earnings is cotton (second largest exporter in the world). Gold, oil and natural gases are the other important sources. Some of the important industrial products include textiles, machinery, chemical etc.

A trip to Uzbekistan will not be too expensive. There is a wide availability of inexpensive hotels, restaurants etc. in the country. There are government run buses, trams, trains and trolley buses that charge a minimal amount.
