Also known by the name ‘the War or Army Museum’, the Vietnam Military History Museum is situated in Hanoi, Vietnam. Set up on 17th July, 196, it is considered as one of the seven national museums in Vietnam. It has an impressive collection of war relics charting the struggle of Vietnam for liberation. Arranged in an array of galleries, starting from the Chinese colonization era, to the French period followed by the American war and recent incidents, this museum has lot to offer for its visitors. What’s more, those interested in history can get to see a lot of display of guns, spears and ammo other than a good deal of photojournalism and historical background, offered in English language.
Moreover, at the back of the museum, one can see a huge pyramid prepared by an artist taking the entire wreckage of an F-111, B-52 and a French transport plane too. Overall, this is a must see museum whilst in Hanoi.
