Ho Tay is a beautiful neighborhood in Hanoi, Vietnam. Named after a lake, Ho Tay is also known as the West Lake, the largest lake in Hanoi. This neighborhood is popularly known as the Lake of Mists, and during the medieval period, kings and warlords had built their palaces on its banks. Today, almost ninety percent of this neighborhood is home to hotels, villas and restaurants. The nearby sights which one can come across whilst here, are the Phu Tay Ho and Tran Quoc Pagoda. This neighborhood is worth seeing when it’s beautiful around sunset.
This area is busy after dusk, when youngsters are on motorbike. This is also a popular place to have dinner in the midst of the locals. There is also a park named by Ho Tay Lake Water Park, a recent addition to the entertainment parks in the city. Here, one can find 12 large as well as small slides having tube rides, wave making pool other than floating Tube Lake.
