Aden, a dynamic port city in Yemen, is located at the edge of the Arabian Peninsula. The economic capital of Yemen, Aden is also referred to as ‘Yemen’s Gateway to the World’. The city houses a population of around 600,000 and is considered as one of the countries in Middle East with great potential.
Aden is typified by a hot and dry climate all year round with very little rainfall. Thunderstorms are experienced around the coastal areas regularly. However the climate gets cooler as the nights approach. The best time to visit the city is between September and January.
Aden has a glorious past as a trading centre with various local merchants utilising its services. Today, it is one of the main natural harbours in the world and a major transhipment centre. Refinery is also a major component of the economy.
