Mukalla: Attractions and more...
Al Mukalla, as such, is not known for any tourist attractions. It’s known due to its proximity to ‘Gulf of Aden’ and ‘Mukalla Port’
Gulf of Aden
‘Gulf of Aden’ goes on to connect with ‘Red Sea’ via Bab-el-Mandeb strait. This waterway is a portion of the significant ‘Suez Canal shipping route’ between Arabian Sea and Mediterranean Sea in Indian Ocean. As many as 21000 ships go on to cross the Gulf every year. ‘Pirate Alley’ is the nickname assigned to this Gulf owing to huge amount of ‘piracy’ occurring over here. ‘Gulf of Aden’ plays an important role with regards to shipping of ‘Persian Gulf Oil’, thereby having made it one of the most integral waterways in world economy.
Mukalla Port
Mukalla Port goes on to serve as head office of ‘Yemen Arabian Sea Ports Corporation’. The other function of Mukalla Port is inclusive of transportation of container vessels, cruise vessels, container vessels, dry-bulk cargo vessels, and many more things.
