The coast around St Joseph has some of the biggest waves in the area and because of this it is a surfer’s paradise. There are also some secluded coves and inlets where you can swim in the waters and engage in activities such as snorkeling and other water sports.
The town of Bathsheba is very popular with the tourists and locals alike and has a number of interesting places to visit. The Flower Forest and Andromeda Gardens in Bathsheba are beautiful horticultural parks which are full of the vibrant colours of tropical flowering plants and trees.
The Cotton Tower, which is a signaling station that was set up by the British Army in the nineteenth century, is another big tourist attraction.
There is also the St Joseph’s Cathedral at Molokai, which was built in 1876 by the Belgian priest, Father Damien.
Perhaps the best time to visit Barbados is during the annual five-week Crop Over festival which celebrates the end of the harvesting season.
