About 40 miles towards the South of Marsh Harbour in the interior of the Caribbean pine woodlands, the Abaco National Park is located. This is a protected natural environment that is reputed as one of the best bird-watching destinations in the entire Caribbean. This region abounds of more than 100 species of tropical birds. The highlight of this park is the endangered Bahamian Parrot that is vividly colored.
